This remarkable program contains excerpts from seven narrative interviews with elderly women. Each interview is followed by brief reflections from a small team that has observed the interview. These women, in their eighties and nineties have the opportunity to share stories about loved ones whom they have lost. They tell us about how they maintain their relationships with these people who were so important to them. They were anxious about having a conversation with someone who has a specialty in bereavement and at the next meeting of their group they unaminously voiced how pleased they were that we did not focus on bereavement. This is an alternative kind of conversation that offers a more positive focus on grief and loss.
