She addresses topics of managed-care and insurance, the mandated client, the “not-knowing” posture, and who gets seen in therapy. How she reflects what her clients are talking about is addressed and how her work resembles Rogerian work and how her intention is different.

Harlene Anderson, Ph.D., author of Conversation, Language and Possibilities (1997-Basic books) is a founding member of both the Houston-Galveston Institute and the Taos Institute. She collaborated with Harry Goolishian in the development of the Collaborative Language Systems method and has written numerous articles and chapters in about this way of working. She lives in Houston and teaches and consults internationally.
